Peter qualified from Bristol in 1972 and worked in mixed
practice in his native Sheffield before emigrating to Australia
in 1977.
After seven years as a partner in a mixed practice in
tropical Queensland, he returned to the UK where he became
interested in homeopathy, finding this to be a logical system which uses medicines which address the underlying
disease process rather than simply suppressing the symptoms
involved. In addition it requires treating patients and clients
with understanding and compassion.
Peter obtained VetMFHom status in 1991 and was awarded
Fellowship of the Faculty of Homeopathy in 2004. He works in a
holistic veterinary medicine centre in Sussex and lectures
extensively, in the UK and Internationally.
Peter is co-author, with
John Saxton, of 'Textbook of Veterinary Homeopathy' and a past
President of the British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary
Surgeons.
Peter sees homeopathy not only as a therapeutic option which
is vital to the modern veterinarian, but as a journey of self
discovery which can lead to a deeper understanding of the
dynamics of veterinary practice. Like any journey, developing
these skills should be enjoyable; learning homeopathy should
be fun. It is this which Peter wishes to share and does so at
every opportunity.
